SOLE Donates $50,000 And Counting to Big City Mountaineers
Two years ago, SOLE, the maker of premier orthopedic footbeds, socks and sandals, teamed up with renowned mountaineer Ed Viesturs to create an innovative cause-marketing program in support of Big City Mountaineers. Today, SOLE and Viesturs are pleased to announce their program has raised over $50,000 to help get urban youth into the outdoors.
Viesturs available for speaking events
Ed Viesturs is available for lectures and appearances at your next event. He has spoken to dozens of large corporations and small groups. His themes include Teamwork, Goal Setting, Perseverance, and inspirational entertainment in general.
His lectures are based on his experiences from 27 years of climbing and include a PowerPoint presentation with dramatic expedition photos.

Viesturs Joins Mountaineering "Dream Team"
Joins Eddie Bauer on launch of First Ascent Product Line
SEATTLE, WA
In a bold return to its heritage, Eddie Bauer has joined up with a dream team of mountaineers to build a new line of outerwear and gear called First Ascent. First Ascent combines Eddie Bauers legacy as the original expedition outfitter with the expertise of some of today's most renowned mountain guides and climbers, including Peter Whittaker, Ed Viesturs, and Dave Hahn.
"We've assembled the dream team to design and build the most significant new line of mountaineering gear in a generation," says Neil Fiske, President and CEO of Eddie Bauer. "It doesn't get any better than Whittaker, Viesturs, Hahn and team."
